§ 8-67. Plea of guilty; trial to the court.

  • If any person accused of violating any of the provisions of an ordinance of the town has a right to trial by jury, and after having been so advised of his right does not demand same, thereby waiving his right thereto, and thereafter shall confess himself guilty or have his case tried to the court, a judge of the municipal court, without a jury, shall hear the evidence and fix and determine the sentence, penalty or punishment and such judge shall enter judgment and issue execution thereon.
