§ 15-114. Private sewage disposal systems.

(a)

Connection to approved private system. Where a public sewer or sewer main is not available under the provisions of subsection 15-113(d), the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with the provisions of this division and the rules and regulations of the San Juan Basin Health Unit.

(b)

Abandonment of private systems. At such time as a public sewer becomes available requiring connection pursuant to subsection 15-113(d), all septic tanks, cesspools, and similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material, in accordance with all state and local ordinances, rules and regulations.
