§ 13-20. Declaration of snow routes.

  • (a)

    Any street in town may be declared to be a permanent snow route by the town manager, after consultation with the public works manager and the town marshall. A street may be declared to be a permanent snow route when it is deemed to be necessary to provide for the safe and efficient removal of snow from the primary roads within town. Any street declared to be a permanent snow route shall be posted as such with appropriate permanent signage designed to provide notice to the public that the street is a permanent snow route and to provide notice of parking restrictions and other provisions of this section. The provisions of this section shall apply to such permanent snow routes upon the completion of the signage required herein.

    (b)

    Any other street in town may be declared to be a temporary snow route during times when it is deemed necessary to provide safe and efficient snow removal activity under the provisions of this article.
